This trick isn't very difficult to do. It requires proper movements or the yo-yo will catch on the string. You can mount this trick several ways. The mount I usually use is a "Pullover" to a "Split Bottom" mount. You can also do it from a front mount ("Under" mount, "Skin the Cat" mount etc.), or a side mount. |

You start of like an Atom Smasher in the "Split Bottom" mount. If you don't know how to get in this position you really shouldn't be attempting this trick.

Pull the left hand back to begin one underpass.

Thread the yellow string into the groove.

You'll get to this position after the underpass. |
  
  
  
  
Pull the yellow string forward and over with your left index finger.
|
   
   
   
   
   
Continue to pull the string forward and over with your left index finger and at the same time, make an underpass with your right hand so the yo-yo hops onto the red string.

After you do that, you'll be back in the 'split bottom' mount position. Do more "Barrel Rolls" if you like. Every time you do a "Barrel Roll" a loop of string will be added to your right index finger.
NOTE: You have to do the underpasses in one motion without stopping. If not, it'll probably catch. |
| "Barrel Rolls" look really neat when you do them in multiples. One on its own isn't really impressive looking enough. "Barrel Rolls" can be inserted into other tricks like the "Atom Smasher" to give it some flare.
