Chain Reaction
This trick again uses the 'split bottom' mount, so I'd really recommend you learn this mount. A lot of other tricks will utilize it so it's very important that you know how to do it. "Chain Reaction" is a great trick to start off the "Atom Smasher" or "Barrel Rolls" with.

This trick starts with a "split bottom mount."

We start by throwing a sleeper and then draping the string over the left index finger. As you're draping the stringover the left index finger, push the yo-yo away from you. This will give it some momentum to swing back towards the right index finger.

The goal is to have the yo-yo swing back towards you, make contact, and hop over the right index finger.

To prevent the yo-yo from catching I'd recommend you do the 1st and 2nd underpass in one motion. In other words, try not to stop, after the 1st underpass go right into the 2nd underpass.

If you do that you're back in the 'split bottom entry' mount. You can do more "Chain Reactions." Do them over and over again.

Since you're in the 'split bottom' mount, you can also go into "Barrel Rolls," "Atom Smasher" or any other trick that uses this mount.



"Chain Reaction" is a good maneuver to use to start your tricks. It adds another level of difficulty and flare to your tricks. Try doing a "Pinwheel Split Bottom" mount, into a couple of "Chain Reactions" then in to "Atom Smasher" with 2 or 3 "Barrel Rolls." That's what I usually do and it's really fun.
