Man on Trapeze & his Brother Rocking in the Cradle |
There's "Rock the Baby on the Trapeze," "Rock the Baby on the Braintwister," "Rock the Baby on the Eiffel Tower," and of course the classic "Rock the Baby." Now there's "Man on Trapeze & his Brother Rocking in the Cradle." This trick is also an opportunity for me to show you how to do "Man on the Trapeze and his Brother" (aka "Reverse Double or Nothing") if you don't already know how to do it. |

You start off with a "Man on the Flying Trapeze."

Flip the yo-yo off the string.

Let the yo-yo continue to swing around.....

....and around....

Let the string make contact with the right index finger about 2-3 inches from the yo-yo. You're aiming for the yo-yo to land on the outer yellow string.

The yo-yo lands on the string. You've just completed "Man on Trapeze and his Brother."

You're now going to start to make the triangle that forms the cradle. First grab the 2 strings (yellow) that make the loop that goes around your right index finger with your thumb and right middle finger.

Lift up your left hand up and grab the other string (white) like shown in the picture.

Place your left index finger and thumb in the loop to form triangle.

Fold down the triangle like so.

Tilt up the cradle and you're done. Give it a couple of swings and you've just completed "Man on the Trapeze and his Brother Rocking in the Cradle." That's a mouth full.
