Flux
Here's a trick I created simply called "The Flux."

It can be used to start the "Hydrogen Bomb" or the "Atom Smasher." You can also use it on it's own. Like "Barrel Rolls" and "Chain Reaction", it can be done over and over again. Simply put, it involves going back and forth between a "Split Bottom" mount and a "Reverse Split Bottom" mount. I hope you like it.

As the yo-yo swings around your left index finger, stick your right index finger out.

Your right index finger should make contact with the string about 2 inches above the yo-yo.

The yo-yo will swing up and over your right index finger and land on the string as shown.

You've just complete what is known as the "split bottom entry" mount.

Flip the yo-yo off the string.

Pull your right hand down at an angle. You're now doing a reverse "Pull-over."

The yo-yo goes around....

...and is now intercepted by the right index finger again.

It hops over your right index finger.

Now it lands on the string. It looks like an "Over/Under" mount from the "Hydrogen Bomb." I call this position the "Reverse Split Bottom" mount.

Once again, flip the yo-yo off the string.

As it goes around your right index finger, pull your right hand down at an angle. You're going to do another "Pull-over."

The yo-yo goes over the left index finger again.

As the yo-yo swings around your left index finger, stick your right index finger out.

Your right index finger should make contact with the string about 2 inches above the yo-yo.

You're back in the "Split Bottom" mount position again. You can go back and forth between the "Split Bottom" and "Reverse Split Bottom" mounts.

Depending on where you want to stop this trick, either the "Split Bottom" position or the "Reverse Split Bottom" position, you can go into the "Atom Smasher" or "Hydrogen Bomb".

You also have a choice of whether to start off this trick with the "Split Bottom" mount first or the "Reverse Split Bottom" mount. It's up to you.
