| "UFO" is primarily used to tighten or loosen the string tension. Throw the yo-yo towards the right of the body to tighten and to loosen throw it towards left. Other names for this trick include "Sleeping Beauty" and "Flying Saucer."

Throw the yo-yo at a 45 degree angle. |
|
Move the hand directly over the yo-yo where it is spinning horizontally. |
|
Pinch the string a couple of inches away from the yo-yo. |
|
Bring the yo-yo up so it is level with the right hand. |
|
Let go of the string with the left hand and tug with the right hand to return it to the hand. In order for the yo-yo to return cleanly, the slot of the yo-yo should be level with the right hand. |
