| Off String Basics |
| The following will go through what is necessary to learn off-string yo-yoing. |
 All you need to do off-string tricks is a butterfly style yo-yo and a string. You can try off-string with a imperial style yo-yo but it will be a lot more difficult to land the yo-yo. Vipers, Cherry Bombs, and Tigersharks are great for off string play.

 Hold one end of the string and start winding the rest around the axle like shown.
