With this little trick you can have the yo-yo return in the palm of your hand with the string wound up and ready for another throw.

Land the yo-yo on the string after the throw and proceed to the next step.
|
 
 
 
|
Bring your right hand all the way up so that there is just a stub left being held by your left hand. |
 
 
|
Wrap the stub of the string around the axle of the yo-yo. |
 
 
 
|
Let go of the stub and give the yo-yo a slight tug to cause it to climb back up. |

It'll start to wind up. |

Now that it is in your hand you can throw again.
|
You can do a trick and if it still has some spin left use this method to get it back into your hand and wound up.
